Healthy Eating Guide
A healthy eating guide should be designed to arm yourself with knowledge so you know the
benefits of healthy eating.
This way you can make more informed decisions on what are healthy foods to eat and what effects different substances have on your body.
Please understand the
importance of eating healthy
because it doesn't mean you have to start a diet that is depriving yourself of food, or, for that matter, of "good" food.
However, you should understand how different nutrients and compounds affect your body. For example, know which are the good carbohydrates to consume or the bad fats to avoid. This way you are more conscious of what's in food and hopefully sway yourself to eat healthier food choices.
When establishing a healthy diet it's not only important to understand what you eat but how to eat. For example, ideally, you should be eating 4-6 small meals separated throughout the day. Eat these small meals every 2-3 hours.
Eating this way will improve your metabolism because it will be working steadily throughout the day. Your metabolism is a chemical reaction with in your body that breaks down your food and gives you energy.
If you want to change your diet, my suggestion is make sure you establish a plan or parameters on what you are going to change, why you are going to change, and the end goal you have for this change. Doing this can dramatically impact your health without changing your life significantly.
