Causes of Stress
You may think it's easy to identify your causes of stress and in some instances that may be true. However, that's not always the case, and it is best to understand further what may induce stress so we can alleviate stress. Otherwise, stress can have very adverse affects on our physical and mental health.
Reasons for Stress
No one is immune to stress. At some point, everyone experiences it. There are too many events and occurences in life to avoid stress. However, if we are to reduce stress we must know where the stress is coming from.
These are some common reasons people experience stress:

- Weight
- Poor Diet
- Disease or Illness
- Travel
- Family Life and Marital issues
- Lack of Companionship
- Career and Coworkers
- Life Changing Event – moving to new city, job loss, death, divorce, new baby, purchase of a new home…
- Increased Responsibility
- Bills
- Financial Condition – debt and savings
- Threats and blackmails
- Alcohol and Drug abuse
- Bullying
These causes have effects. The effects of "bad" stress include increased blood pressure, increase heart rate, depression, and much more. It can harm your immune system creating a greater likelihood of getting sick. Stress can affect your personal and professional life making you moody, frustrated, tired, and negative.
